New Zealand Camping Reviews

Spirits Bay Campsite - Northland, New Zealand
The shot above was taken at Spirits Bay campground. If you are heading up to the far north and visiting Cape Reinga I would highly recommend spending a few nights here!
The beach is a 2 minute walk from the campsite and offers stunning views, occasional surf and fishing from the rocks a short walk all away. The road leading in is gravel for a fair way but its well worth the drive. Staff onsite are very friendly and willing to answer any queries you might have!
The Facilities at the campsite are good given the remote location and are as follows:
- Cold Showers
- Toilets
- Water Taps (Needs to be boiled)
A few things to take into account would be in summer months there are a high number of wasps around the fences so pick a spot away from them! Also with the stream close by Mosquitos around but nothing a can of repellant cant fix.
